The Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent is currently seeking persons who are interested in futhering our mission, "To improve the quality of life of people with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias through superior programs and research" through a volunteer role as a BOARD MEMBER.

Scholarship Writing Program
The objective of this education program is to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias, provide scholarship money to assist those pursuing a college or university education, as well as to encourage students to consider a career in gerontology.
Deadline for submissions is 4:00 pm, October 29, 2010.

Bill To Establish Alzheimer Advisory Council
On May 5, 2010 a Bill was introduced in the Ontario Legislature "to establish the Alzheimer Advisory Council and develop a strategy for the research, treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia."
